Care

Service Policy

Every BELVARD timepiece is built to last. When your watch needs attention, we ensure it receives the same care it was built with: handled by trusted hands, returned to you in full form.

1. Our service commitment

At BELVARD, after-sales care is not an afterthought. It is an extension of the standard we set at the point of manufacture. Every watch we produce is individually inspected and certified before it reaches you. That same standard of attention guides every service interaction throughout the life of your timepiece.

Whether your watch is within its warranty period or requires routine maintenance years down the line, BELVARD is committed to being present, responsive, and transparent at every step.

2. Authorised service partner: Sri Lanka

BELVARD has partnered with a trusted and experienced local watch service centre in Sri Lanka to handle warranty repairs and general servicing on our behalf. All service work conducted through our authorised partner is overseen and approved by BELVARD.

Service authorisation required. Before visiting our service partner, all customers must first contact BELVARD and receive a reference number: a Service Authorisation Reference Number (e.g. SRV-2027-001) for servicing and paid repairs, or a Warranty Authorisation Reference Number (e.g. WRN-2027-001) for approved warranty claims. Our service partner will only accept BELVARD timepieces upon presentation of a valid reference number. Please do not visit the service centre without prior authorisation from BELVARD.

During the 24-month warranty period, all servicing, regulation, maintenance, or any adjustment of the timepiece must be carried out exclusively through BELVARD's authorised service partner. Any work carried out by an unauthorised third party during this period will void all warranty coverage. After the expiry of the warranty period, customers are free to use any service provider of their choosing, though BELVARD's authorised partner remains available and recommended.

3. How to request a service

All service requests, including routine servicing, bracelet adjustment, timekeeping regulation, water resistance testing, and out of warranty repairs, must be initiated through BELVARD directly. Warranty repairs follow a separate process: please submit a warranty claim on our Warranty Policy page.

  1. Contact BELVARD

Email service@belvardwatch.com. Include your serial number, a description of the service required, and photographs where helpful. We will respond within 48 hours.

  2. Assessment & quotation

BELVARD will review your request using your serial number. Where a charge applies, we will provide a free quotation for your approval. No work will begin until you have approved the quotation.

  3. Receive your Service Authorisation Reference Number

Upon approval, BELVARD will issue a unique Service Authorisation Reference Number (e.g. SRV-2027-001). This number must be quoted when visiting our service partner or when shipping your timepiece internationally. No service request will be accepted without a valid Service Authorisation Reference Number.

  4. Service & repair

You will be directed to our authorised service partner (Sri Lanka customers) or provided with shipping instructions (international customers). Our service partner will carry out the approved work and notify BELVARD upon completion.

  5. Collection or return

Sri Lankan customers may collect their timepiece directly from our service partner. International customers will have their timepiece returned via tracked, insured courier. Return shipping is covered by BELVARD for warranty repairs; for paid servicing, the return shipping cost will be included in your quotation.

4. International service

For customers outside Sri Lanka, BELVARD handles all warranty and service requests through our service centre. Please read the following carefully before shipping your timepiece.

5. Out of warranty service

Your BELVARD timepiece is designed to last well beyond its 24-month warranty period. For timepieces outside the warranty period, BELVARD can arrange servicing through our authorised service partner at competitive rates.

Out of warranty services available include:

For parts not listed above, including crystal replacement, please contact us at service@belvardwatch.com. BELVARD will endeavour to source original parts where available. Where original parts are no longer available, compatible alternatives of equivalent specification may be offered.

To request an out of warranty service quotation, email service@belvardwatch.com with your serial number and a description of the service required. All quotations are provided free of charge and must be approved before any work commences.

6. Recommended service intervals

BELVARD recommends professional movement servicing every 3 to 5 years, and a water resistance test every 2 years, to maintain the optimal performance and longevity of your timepiece. Regular servicing ensures the movement remains clean, properly lubricated, and accurately regulated, protecting your investment for decades to come.

A full movement service typically involves disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning of all components, replacement of worn parts, fresh lubrication, regulation, and reassembly. Your timepiece will be tested for accuracy and water resistance before being returned to you.

To arrange a routine service, email service@belvardwatch.com.

7. Frequently asked questions

How long does a warranty repair typically take?

Most warranty repairs are completed within 7 to 14 working days from the date our service partner receives your timepiece. More complex repairs may take longer, in which case BELVARD will notify you with an updated timeline.

Can I walk into the service centre without an appointment?

Walk-ins are subject to availability. We strongly recommend contacting BELVARD first to receive your reference number and then scheduling an appointment with our service partner to avoid unnecessary waiting time.

What should I bring when visiting the service centre?

Please bring your BELVARD timepiece, your original Warranty & Authenticity Certificate, and your Service or Warranty Authorisation Reference Number issued by BELVARD. Without these, our service partner will be unable to proceed with your repair.

My watch was a gift and I do not have the purchase confirmation. Can I still make a warranty claim?

Yes. The Warranty & Authenticity Certificate accompanying the timepiece is the primary proof of warranty. Please submit your claim on our Warranty Policy page using the serial number engraved on the caseback, and we will assist you from there.

Can I get my bracelet adjusted at the service centre?

Yes. Bracelet link adjustment is available through our authorised service partner. Please contact BELVARD first to receive a Service Authorisation Reference Number before visiting the service centre.

What happens if my watch needs a part that is not in stock?

BELVARD maintains a reserve of critical spare parts including movements, hands, crowns, dials, gaskets, and crystals to minimise delays. In the unlikely event that a part needs to be sourced, we will notify you of the expected timeline before proceeding.

Where can I find care and usage instructions?

Our Care & Usage Guide covers winding, setting the time and date, water resistance, magnetisation, and day-to-day care of your timepiece.

Can I use any watchmaker after my warranty expires?

Yes. After the 24-month warranty period expires, you are free to use any service provider of your choosing. BELVARD's authorised service partner remains available and recommended for all out of warranty servicing, but there is no obligation to use them exclusively after the warranty period.
