Thank you for choosing BELVARD. This warranty policy outlines the terms and conditions under which BELVARD provides coverage for its timepieces. Please read this document carefully and retain it alongside your Warranty & Authenticity Certificate for the duration of your ownership.
1. Warranty coverage
Every BELVARD timepiece is individually inspected and certified prior to dispatch. BELVARD warrants each watch against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 24 months from the date of dispatch.
Warranty coverage includes:
- Manufacturing defects in the movement, including failure to run, erratic timekeeping, and crown malfunction under normal operating conditions
- Defects in the dial, hands, and applied indices arising from the manufacturing process
- Failure of the date mechanism under normal use and within correct operating conditions
- Bracelet clasp failure arising from manufacturing defects
- Case sealing defects resulting in water ingress within the rated 10 ATM water resistance
- Lume failure on indices or hands within the warranty period
2. Warranty period
The warranty period is 24 months from the date of dispatch as recorded on the Warranty & Authenticity Certificate accompanying the timepiece.
The warranty period is not extended, reset, or renewed as a result of any repair, replacement of parts, or servicing carried out under this warranty.
3. Warranty transferability
The BELVARD warranty is transferable. Coverage remains valid for the duration of the original 24-month warranty period regardless of changes in ownership.
To make a valid warranty claim, the claimant must present the original Warranty & Authenticity Certificate bearing the serial number corresponding to the timepiece being submitted for service. The serial number is engraved on the caseback of every BELVARD timepiece.
4. Exclusions from warranty coverage
This warranty does not cover the following:
- Damage resulting from misuse, negligence, accidents, or impact
- Damage caused by unauthorised servicing, modification, or tampering with the movement, case, or any component of the watch
- Water damage resulting from use beyond the rated 10 ATM water resistance, or water ingress resulting from a damaged or improperly secured crown
- Damage to the date mechanism resulting from manual date adjustment between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM. During this window the date change mechanism is engaged and forced manual adjustment may cause irreversible internal damage
- Damage caused by exposure to strong magnetic fields, including but not limited to smartphone screens, laptop keyboards, magnetic bag closures, and induction cooktops
- Normal wear and tear, including surface scratches on the crystal, case, or bracelet
- Damage to straps or bracelets resulting from normal use
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect the function of the timepiece
- Loss or theft of the timepiece
- Warranty repairs presented without a valid Warranty Authorisation Reference Number issued by BELVARD
5. How to make a warranty claim
All warranty claims must be initiated through BELVARD directly. Please follow the steps below.
Submit a warranty claim
Submit a claim using the warranty claim form on this page. Include your serial number, a description of the defect, and photographs of the issue, the caseback serial number, and your Warranty & Authenticity Certificate. If you are unable to use the form, email service@belvardwatch.com. BELVARD will respond within 48 hours.
Claim verification
BELVARD will verify your claim against our records using the serial number of the timepiece. You will be required to present the original Warranty & Authenticity Certificate at the point of service.
Warranty Authorisation Reference Number
Upon verification of a valid claim, BELVARD will issue a unique Warranty Authorisation Reference Number (e.g. WRN-2027-001). This reference number must be presented when submitting your timepiece for repair. Claims submitted without a valid authorisation reference number will not be accepted for warranty service.
Service
Once your authorisation reference number is issued, you will be directed to our authorised service partner (Sri Lanka) or provided with instructions for returning your timepiece to our service centre.
Repair or replacement
BELVARD will repair or replace defective components at no cost to the claimant for all valid warranty claims. BELVARD reserves the right to determine whether a defect will be addressed through repair or replacement of the timepiece or affected component.
6. Service locations
Sri Lanka: authorised local service partner
BELVARD has partnered with an authorised local watch service centre in Sri Lanka to handle warranty repairs on behalf of Sri Lankan customers.
Before visiting our service partner, customers must first contact BELVARD to initiate the claim and receive a Warranty Authorisation Reference Number. Our service partner will only accept timepieces for warranty repair upon presentation of a valid authorisation reference number issued by BELVARD. Repairs presented directly to our service partner without prior authorisation from BELVARD cannot be guaranteed warranty coverage.
Details of BELVARD's authorised service partner in Sri Lanka, including location, contact information, and operating hours, are available on our Service Policy page.
International customers
International customers are required to ship their timepiece to our service centre in Sri Lanka for warranty assessment and repair. BELVARD will bear the cost of return shipping once the repair is complete. Customers are responsible for the cost and safe packaging of inbound shipping.
BELVARD strongly recommends that all timepieces submitted for warranty service be sent via an insured, trackable courier service. BELVARD accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to the timepiece during inbound transit.
All international warranty claims must be initiated through BELVARD prior to shipping. Do not ship your timepiece without first receiving a Warranty Authorisation Reference Number.
7. Important care instructions
To protect your warranty coverage, please follow the instructions in our Care & Usage Guide. In particular:
- Never manually adjust the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM. During this period the date change mechanism is active and forced adjustment may cause irreversible damage to the movement
- Keep your timepiece away from strong magnetic fields including smartphone screens, magnetic closures, laptop keyboards, and induction cooktops. Magnetisation may cause the watch to run significantly fast and is not covered under warranty
- Ensure the crown is fully screwed down before exposing the watch to water. The 10 ATM water resistance rating is only valid with the crown fully secured
8. Limitation of liability
BELVARD's liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective timepiece or component. BELVARD shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the timepiece.
9. Warranty amendments
BELVARD reserves the right to amend this warranty policy at any time. Any amendments will apply prospectively and will not affect the warranty terms applicable to timepieces purchased prior to the amendment date. The most current version of this policy is always available on this page.
